I am a globetrotter, kind of, and it of course have an effect; like right before a period most women have some water retention. mostly at the tummy area.
But the water retention in the feet and legs I never had with my period. I would rather think it has to be with altitude.
And that the sulfur helped the cells to balance the hydration (sodium / potassium)when onboard.
