I did some quick research; women that have had hypo having chemo and radiation made it worse. Also some women with no signs of it, after many CT scans found the Iodine from the scan messed them up and left them hypo.

There are reports from universities, one in MD that states chemo and radiation can cause hypo thyroid. You did mention she was losing weight and a symptom is usually weight gain, however her constant nausea would certainly contribute to her weight loss and could be part of the hypo problem.

I know you Dad does not want to change doctors but he needs to do something before the doctor is dead wrong. Believe me the doctor will just move on; you Dad will be a widowed and you without your mother.
