Southern Belle, for whatever reason the FCKeditor and TinyMCE Editor are non-functional and I just lost my response to your response. UGH!! That children are as different from one another as night and day is a challenge, to be sure, but one of the delightful aspects of humanity. Wouldn't it be a dull world if they weren't unique? LOL Familyarrested.com is a site that was created specifically to educate and support parents of children (minor OR adult) who could be defined as "difficult." Either the child exhibits symptoms of personality disorder, or they have been charged/imprisoned as a result of their own actions. A conscientious parent with a minor child who is behaviorally disordered has no means of support. The medical community wants to medicate. The psychiatric community wants to medicate and study. The psychological community wants to blame the parents. The Social Services agencies want everyone to comply. The Juvenile Justice system just wants these "troubled" kids to grow up and get off of their dockets. It is a conundrum that I am completely familiar with. SO, having typed all of that, the developer of Familyarrested.com is a courageous example of recovery - her son is a convicted cold-blooded murderer and she is providing this site as a source of information, education, and support for family members of children (minor OR adult) who are probably behaviorally disordered, have faced criminal charges, and/or have been convicted of crimes.
