Ringing in the ears is most likely caused from the candida release of acetaldehyde(alcohol-by product) from the metabolism of simple sugars(mainly)+ simple carbs. Acetaldehyde is a alcohol like substance that can cause nerve damage. Like clock work my ringing in the ears always got worst with the consumption of simple sugars. Candida die-off seemed to make the ringing worst as well. Foods that raise blood pressure seems to make the ringing worst as well...Excess caffeine, salt etc.... I think the high blood pressure does something with the nerves that causes the ringing to get louder...My experience anyways. I found that the lower my blood pressure is the ringing goes down with that. Hibiscus tea seemed to do a good job at lowering blood pressure and lowering the ringing in the ears. But I didnt care for the low blood pressure because it seemed to cause more lethargy.
