Cesar is amazing. He reabilitates the owners . To live in the now and not to treat dogs as humans Ie dogs need the pack mentality. If nobody is being pack leader they will be it. Of course it means you have an out of control dog in human eyes. It was nice to see dogs that would have been put down turned into compatible family members within a couple of weeks.
He has written a book but I would highly recommend seeing the Dog wisperer series that is on cable. I can make a copy of this and send it to you. I find it very useful in my line of work ofcourse.
Dogs simply read your mind. If you are projecting . oh no he is going to jump up on me. they see that without the emotion ie good or bad. They dont understand good or bad just the image that you projected and follows with the action.
To change bad habits you have to show you are pack leader and pick up on 'excited" states. Get them back to calm states before they react. Tough to describe.
Let me know if you need me to send this to you.
Good luck with the Blog.
I probably dont need to mention but most of the best Info I found was through Pat Mckay reigning cats and dogs. She has updated some of her ideas. Which I like when a person is not stuck in knowing everyting. She too now does not recommend the ground in bone. MOst dogs just cant manage it.
She also recommends a calcium suppliment. NO BONemeal. big no no.
I personally feed honest kitchen dehidrated which is really fresh. Does have some grains but I find they are ones my dogs tolerate well. They also have a grain free version.
I use animal essentials or matrix herbal multivitamin. and plant based calcium and enzymes. Salmon oil and add my own raw meat and bones for chewing.
Good luck and would love more pics of baboo. He is adorable
