When the crust is still on the upper lip, and after 10 days of crust building-up aprox, it begins to smell bad. I can smell it by simply "curving" the top lip near the nose.

It can be reduced by brushing your mouth/teeth very often.

I also notice that some food keep their olfactive "footprint" on lips much longer than others. Eg: flavoured potato chips !
