It can be a difficult transition from rescue dog to a BARFer. The detox is too great, people have to start very slowly I realise that. Mine started in the BARF at 4 months, it took 2 week for him to stop having the runs and be able to go 100% BARF.

I highly respect you and people who choose rescue dogs! I considered it at lenght but decided against it because I have kids who may not be as gentle as a recue dog needs. I will consider more dogs when the kids are grown up and away at college, because I am now so in love with dogs that I could fill the house. They are so full of love, it's like being washed with love all day long with a dog.

Also, I am a complementary therapist, and I intend to register with 'pets in therapy' - it is a charity and well behaved/well trained dogs and their owners visist childrens hospitals and hospices to help people take their minds off their suffering. Baboo is a very relaxed puppy, he will be great for the kids in the wards. He will be tested for his suitabilty at 9-12 months, so I am training him to a high standard now so we can do this charity work.

Today was really special. At puppy training class we all took it in turns to train each others puppies - it's like playing with beautiful, innocent children! Ecah one was so special and unique .. I had such a wonderful time!

Boxers are really cute, my neighbour has one.

There are 2 types of Bedlington terrier - one from the working dog side and one from the show dog side. Baboo is from the show dog side. If you saw his gait, he looks like a show horse. He has a very beautiful walk/very delicate. His mother and father are both Crufts winners, but I won't be showing him as I won't be giving him the standard vacinations - I'm only using homeopathy for him.

I had intended to update the BARF blog today but I got side-tracked. By next week, I hope to have good information on there, and please feel free to chip in - I'm not an expert, so can only share my own research and what I've read.

Best wishes!
