It sounds like to me you should investigate either making your own milk or water kefir and or raw organic sauerkraut. Which you can make yourself too. You should try to get those healthy probiotics back in there.

If you are having undigested food enter your intestine then chances are they aren't killing off all the pathogens as well. Many people take a supplement to have more stomach acid. I thought it was HCL and pepsin. Sorry, my mind has drawn a blank. But this increases the acidity of your stomach acid. Also, others take digestive enzymes but they need to survive the trip past the stomach acid. Also, if taken long term people have warned of developing a dependence on it. Not sure how likely that is or not.

Another good way to help increase the digestive enzymes would be to take Chinese bitters tincture. I believe this summons the pancreas to release more enzymes. You take a little sip of the tincture right before a meal.

But, having bad pathogens enter your intestine is not good. I was told 90% of our immune system is located within our intestines. If you can clear up the intestines then other things will fall into place. Sibo infection would be another thing to look up.

There are many ways to address the intestines. If you are having gastritis symptoms, overly inflammed and such then I would suggest a product called inflamex or ultra inflamx. I haven't tried this product personally but the reviews looked pretty good. It apparently should help restore the intestinal health and decrease some of the inflammation. The inflammation is normal however, it is part of the immune response and a reactant to the pathogens in the intestines. You just got to get them out of there. In my opinion the best thing to help clear up intestinal infections is raw milk kefir or water kefir. Sauerkraut as well, but I think the kefir would have more strands of probiotics in there. You could take something like undecenoic acid to help keep candida from transforming into a fungal form. Also, you can take cellulase to completely digest the cellular walls of the yeast candida cells and that would eliminate them. Iherb sells the product as SF722 (I believe) from thorne products. Also, candidase is the name of the product for the cellulase. Biotin also would be helpful as it is what the good probiotics use to fight against the bad bacteria.

One of the main things they look for when doing the upper endoscopies is h. pylori. I think I would try some of these suggestions first before shelling out the cash for the endoscopy and such. So, hopefully this was helpful.

I recommended a product called SF722 here and it looks like it isn't as useful as I originally thought. I really trust Dr. Jeff's advice.
