Hi again everyone.

(This post is intended mainly for Candida support, but I'd like to cross-post since this therapy is used for other intestinal conditions as well. Thanks for reading!)

Has anyone here tried a fecal transplant? I've heard about them -- although mostly for more serious health problems than candidiasis -- and the reviews are excellent. Most people report immediate and lasting benefits, it seems.

My battle with candida began after I took a course of Antibiotics , for the first time. I assume that it killed off my beneficial gut flora, which had done a good job of keeping me healthy all my life prior to that. Then the opportunistic candida took over, and... that was that.

It seems logical to me that a Fecal Transplant from a healthy human would restore normal, diverse gut flora. And that this would restore my body to its condition prior to taking the poison (er, antibiotic). And maybe I would then be able to resist candida on my own, just like I did before.

I'm thinking about it very seriously. I'm pretty okay with the "ick" factor -- I don't see how another (healthy) person's poop would be any worse than my own, in my butt. :)

So I'm curious if anyone has tried it for candida. If so, what was your process? Did you get the desired results?

Thanks so much!
