I had these too. Before iodine, so not related, or probably very related; due to a borderline hypo T. Caused me several miscarriages.

I believe you are so on the right track with iodine. But I will add supplement suggestion I believe can help;

Zinc
vit E (all the tocopherols)
(an alternative fertility clinic in UK had great effect of just these two supplements, and helped me back then)

Boron is mentioned
- the Iodine co-factors like vit B, C also important.

A Weston Price`ish diet would also benefit;
