I have been a estrogen dominant person ever since I remember. To cut the long story short, I have been struggling with infertility for 10 years now, my diagnosis was endometriosis..I tried IVF which hasn't worked so far. I also have low thryroid which is being managed well with Armour. Recently I got my day 3 FSH tested and it came out to be 11.5 ! and the estradiol was 80 !. I have always had my fsh around 7 and estradiol around 35. A few months back I stumbled upon this website and read on the tremendous benefits of Iodine supplementation so I jumped on the Iodine train and started on 2 tablets of iodoral. Its been 4 months now and I have noticed so many positive changes- no hair falling, nail and skin texture improved, better energy FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE.
BUT then I saw this huge rise in my FSH and estradiol reading and its clear that my ovaries are now producing less estrogen which is not what I want. The only thing that I changed in the last few months is adding iodoral so I can totally attribute this jump in FSH to iodine. My doctor has refused to do IVF with this FSH and I am so frustated and confused.

Is anyone aware of Iodine causing this undesirable side effect of putting you into menopause or I am just thinking in the wrong direction? Should I stop taking iodine? Please help with any opinions/thoughts/experiences

julie
