Nomad from the Iodine Forum. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Iodine supplementation. It's a known fact on our forum that Iodine without the proper co-nutrients (especially 200mcg selenomethionine)can cause selenium deficiency or other problems that can cause what you are describing.
I've been around quite a while, and take insanely large doses of iodine every day (1000-2000 times the RDA) for years and am fit as a fiddle. All of the hashimoto's that I've seen on the forums have recovered quite nicely with the proper protocol.
