What would be the source of mold toxins? The environment, or food (perhaps both)?

In recent months, I've begun to suspect that I either have some form of Lyme Disease - or some infection that could be similar to it. Just one of the reasons why I suspect this is that I've had a lot of problems with electromagnetic sensitivities in recent years (I also have a sensitivity to certain volatile organic compounds). I have heard or read that Lyme Disease (or Lyme-like toxins) could be a cause of this.

I've also had a lot of bizarre, frustrating problems with my weight during my adult life. I have seemed to be quite a bit bigger than I "should" be - given my eating and (sometimes) exercise habits (only very recently has overeating been a real, persistent problem). There have been plenty of times when I have followed a diligent exercise regimen and have eaten very reasonably - but could not shed a pound (despite being 5'4" and over 200 pounds - I'm female). In the past, it was easy to pinpoint the major cause of this - certain prescription medications that I had to take that seemed to pack on disproportionate, stubborn weight-gain. (I would be able to lose weight when I stopped these medications.) But in recent years, I've been mostly med-free - and the problem persists. I have even had some episodes of weight-gain that have been odd and baffling - such as this one.

So these weight-problems could be attributed to mold-toxins, or perhaps Lyme (or Lyme-like) toxins?

How would you deal with mold, Lyme, and/or bacterial toxins? Do you know a good source where I can read up on appropriate "detox" methods?

I wish I could find a good, *affordable*, water filter that filtered out all of the bad stuff PLUS fluoride - but left the good alkalinizing minerals in. I don't like being dependent on what Walmart decides to stock on its shelves this week to have healthy, non-acidic water. About 4 years ago, I did buy a popular filter - but decided not to use it because it doesn't filter out fluoride.

Thanks, guys - for the replies. :)
