I think eating mainly fruit in the winter or in a cold wet climate is dangerous. I tried eating a high raw foods diet in the past and I became freezing cold all the time and my digestive problems came about while eating this way. It might be healthy to eat this way if you live in Hawaii or some place warm where fruit is abundant, but for everyone else I would stick to eating starches and grains mainly if you're doing 80-10-10, starches are very warming compared to fruit and veggies. Fruits and veggies are very cooling and add water (dampness) to the body.

Dampness is another important aspect as traditional Chinese medicine says candida is caused from having too much internal Yin energy (cold/damp energy).

Also I read a book recently called "Eat for heat" by Matt Stone that I thought was interesting. It's very easy to understand especially if you ever get cold hands/feet or low basal temperature. You can equate the circulation/coldness to your thyroid or metabolism and next time you feel cold try eating something sweet, salty, oily, or starchy. You'll be warm and toasty shortly after. It's a good but short read if anyone is interested.
