i atually think that all of us were under some kind of trauma of the lips. its not normal for males to apply lip balm on a regular basis. mostly only girls do it for appearance wise.

so most people with ec were applying lip balm to there lips in the following months before the ec began. we werent all just putting lipbalm on to look pretty and have shinny soft smooth lips like a girl..... well i hope not.... no we were putting lip balms on because our lips were under a state of discomfort for some reason..

in my personal case i began useing lip balm for about 2 months before my first little break out.. before that i never touhed a lip balm in my life. and i was useing it daily becasue i couldnt leave the house for this 2 month stint without having lip balm on and in my pocket. i never thought twice about it. but clearly this is the start of ec. 80% of people on here like yourself were useing lip balm regulary whihc to me is very strange.

but anyways we do believe you and i do really hope that your theory works for you and personally im about to give it a shot myself if this treatment im currently doesn't work.

and also i have tried keeping my lips moist with out pulling the skin off or causeing anymore trauma. i did it with a mixture of manuka honey and coconut oil for about 8-10 weeks off the top of my head.. if you read up on manuka honey its proven to be one of the best natural ways to heal wounds and speeds up the healing time.
