This is kind of "funny", from your first link:

Some have gone far enough to suggest that adding Iodine is an international Conspiracy to contain Muslim population."

Now, we all know here that the importance of iodine in health has been all but forgotten, at least in the U.S. In fact, our environment is full of substances, government-sanctioned substances such as fluoride in water, that displace iodine from receptors. I would say that we here on this forum, have quite the healthy distrust of the government, the FDA, the "authorities".

What is our government did a 180 and began addressing iodine-deficiency related health issues? Because we're not far away from being in the same situation Pakistan is in...

Gotta say though, that the average Pakistani seems to be more aware than the average American...
