I used your terminology of "covering up EC or a wound." In my case, my lip healed temporarily or the treatment covered up EC with your terminology. I do not recall how long it took them to go back to unhealed state.

I did not know you are only using Aquaphor now as I have not read all these posts. I hope it keeps up. It is just puzzling why the inflammation is still in your lips.
