My dentist suggested to remove a part of amalgam as much as possible and leave rest of in the tooth then fill in the tooth with a white composite.

You need another dentist. Doesn't make sense to leave part of the amalgam [mercury] in the tooth.

At the very least, you should get a second opinion. Preferably from a holistic dentist that does the proper protocol for amalgam removal.
