Hello guys. I visited this forum many times, but only now I created an account. Sorry for my bad English – it’s not my mother language. And I really need your help:

Could you please help me diagnose my condition? Do you believe it’s the Exfoliative Cheilitis that most of you have? I have been to several doctors in my country, from several specialties, and none could help me, they are simply clueless about my condition. They just prescribed me vaseline, lip balms and other types of ointments which, I believe, make my condition worse, because they burn and sting as soon as they touch my lips.

My lip condition is always painful. My lips burn all the time, are severely dried, chap in the middle and bring me pain to the point of crying.
Half of my bottom lip is normal, but the other half is really crusty. But those crusts are not yellow, they are white. And they don’t peel naturally - I don’t have a peeling cycle, like most of you guys seem to have. Those crusts just stand on my bottom lip for weeks or even months if I don’t cut them or something – which brings unbearable pain. The skin underneath those crusts is red and raw, and it doesn’t bleed, it’s just painful.
On the other hand, half of my top lip is simply raw and really red, and it stays like that all of the time. Skin doesn’t grow there, nor do crusts. It just stays red and raw, and it hurts.

Please, share your thoughts with me. Don’t you think its cheilitis? Do you think it’s a bacterial or fungal infection? Thank your time and help : )
