I think it's not considered chronic unless you had it a period of time, say 90 days or 1 year. I had mine since 1997. 24-7-365 since then.

If it turns out to be chronic, you could ask for cytokine assay like this one I found online for example:

It may not hurt to have this repeated at two different labs, to confirm consistent results.

Also, there is the candida lymphocyte stimulation index, as well as the intra dermal DTH test.
