Thank you to those who recommended Dr. Margolis in Mesa, AZ!
I had the cavitation surgery on Wednesday with Dr. Margolis. It all went really smoothly. It was really no more of a big deal than getting a wisdom tooth out. I have some pain and swelling, but it's not really that bad, and he and his assistant did everything they could to make my visit pleasant and comfortable. It did not take that long. The office is beautiful, and they have every machine to test for everything (Panoramic scan cavitat, etc.) Very state of the art. It's only a six hour drive from Los Angeles, and there is a Holiday Inn a mile away. I went with my partner though and we stayed in nearby lovely Scottsdale and made a vacation of it. I'm not feeling "systemically" better yet since I am still recovering from the surgery, but I will update in a few weeks. My chronic fatigue has improved drastically following Amalgam removal four months ago, and I am hoping this surgery will get me back to normal.
I had gone to see several dentists beforehand in Los Angeles for consultations, and they all charged three times as much as Margolis and were much less experienced. He was able to tell from my panoramic scan that I had a cavitation, so I didn't need to go there to see him in person to schedule the surgery. Margolis said he does three of these surgeries a week, and that he's done 10,000 of them. If you have a good panoramic scan which you can get though a holistic dentist here in Los Angeles, it's worth sending it to Dr. Margolis and at least having a phone consultation with him. Good luck everybody! And please write if you have any questions.
