An internist is more of a general internal specialist. And I think they will usually refer you to someone like a gastroenterologist if necessary.

And I plan on asking them if this could be caused by something internal like and infection in my gastrointestinal tract.

Clearly dermatologists don't have a clue a out this. And every time I brought up something internal to them they just brushed it off so damn quick. So maybe we are just seeing the wrong people.

I have ruled out mostly everything except internal causes. So it is either that or trauma induced as I currently think.
