Taking just one-two pills once a week or two, like you described, isn't a problem and is usually how it is suggested for 200C. Although a constitutional remedy which is prescribed individually is often taken only once.

Anyway, I don't think your ear pain was caused by the remedy. Although the remedy might have showed you the additional layer of problems with this symptom.
