Hi,

Why don't you start with 10 days and if you are happy just keep increasing it by 10 days at a time?

Some people with a slow metabolism and slightly heavier can fast for a long time with hardly any side effects.I really think it depends.

I'm starting my fast today 1.1.13.I'm going to try and do 40 days water only and see how it goes,if i can i'd like to do longer but for me it isn't hunger it's boredom that drives me to food.So with that in mind i need to stay focused.
