Thanks for the replies – it’s appreciated

Helpful to know people like me have avoided surgery and continued life with a working gall bladder
And interesting to read the information on different consistencies of stones sludge ect  - am also trying ACV to lessen attacks

I have been trying to thoroughly understand this illness and its causes on my journey towards a cure - but one thing continues to puzzle me from a purely logical standpoint  - maybe someone here can help

Since the gall bladder has a single entry/exit
And
Since gall bladder attack are supposedly caused when pressure builds up in the bladder due to a blockage of that entry/exit

What puzzles me is ….a build up of what?

The entry is supposedly blocked, so you would think nothing more is getting in….
However - in my own case I can clearly feel the gall bladder swollen and hard underneath my liver directly beneath the ribs on my right side - hard and round and painful during an attack  - and soft and very difficult to locate exactly the rest of the time. So I think it’s safe to say there is pressure built up of some sort.

An attack can start just a few hours after eating a meal - suggesting whatever is building the pressure is a relatively quick process

What is actually going on here?
Is it gases building up - if so where do they come from – some kind of biological action - and if so would this suggest bacterial action and therefore infection?

Or is it liquid - if so where does it come from – from the bloodstream via the lining? if so what is the mechanism here? I had understood the bladder is a pretty simple sack - with some kind of muscular wall – sufficient to expel bile down the duct when required. But if there is some kind of liquid transfer going on with the lining this would suggest more complex anatomy and function. Does anyone have any more information on this?

This stuff should all be documented by conventional physicians - but I have not had any luck finding answers so far  - does anoyone have answers - preferably supported by evidence

It’s very important to me to understand our biology and anatomy as part of finding ways to treat and improve my health so I would appreciate input from anyone who has pertinent information.

Many thanks !
