I have been getting cold sores off and on for many years as of late I have had 2 in 1 months time. Usually I pop them with a sterile syringe and drain with paper towel ensuring it touches absolutely nothing, I also where sterile gloves while doing this.
My question is, should I pop or not pop it? My 1 and only concern is healing, which will be faster for healing popping or not popping it?

Also any recommendations for speeding up healing once the blister has formed?
