I would say no to steroid treatments.

Don't peel ANY skin off your lips before going to the dermatologist. They need to see your lips in all their glory.

Ask for a candida test, fungal tests and even a patch allergy test (it's good to rule out contact dermatitis).

People who have candida or fungal problems it is usually secondary to this but can improve the lips marginally (for some)
