Hi oldaxe. I too have had that problem since about in 60's. I haven't tried hot water but ponds cold cream. Tea tree oil. And borax. Hot water will come next but as a nurse i know you shouldn't heat up too mu h for too long cause it can cmheat your brain up and cause strokes or death..keeps brain cold with cold water towels maybe...not ice tho too extreme ..ty..
