THANK YOU for posting this!! This was the first post I had read on the use of coconut oil or I would never have tried it. I LOVE this oil and YES it works amazingly!! I have tried it all... all the "azole" creams ... the lotrimins, plain and ultra... tinactin... monostat yeast treatments... tea tree oil... desitin ointment... cortizone... alcohol.. peroxide, which I had some success with but OWEE does it leave you hurting afterward!! ... olive oil... I was really hesitant to try YAJIR (yet another jock itch remedy)and I am soooo glad I did.

Let me say, I have suffered with this for a couple years now. That is a loooooong time to itch and yet it does mess with you, not just physically but psychologically, it makes you want to just cry because you're so miserable. I went to my gynocologist with it the first time around... she diagnosed as jock itch.. gave me a diflucan pill and a cream that had clotrimazole and a strong corticosteriod... it never really completely cleared it up. i used up the whole tube and all that ever happened was it kept it to where it was fairly tolerable but never gone. So using the prescription strength cream (almost daily) kept it pretty much at bay and that was it. I ran out, it flared up again badly... I went back to her, she prescribed the same thing, and that is how I spent the next several months. Again. I used the whole tube... Again. And yep you guessed it.. again it came back with a vengeance.

I was desperate and really didn't want to go back in yet another time, and this just wasn't helping me. Also I suffer from gluten intolerance (celiac) and I have read this often goes along with that kind of thing.. additionally I am hypothyroid, so my poor immune system has had havoc wreaked on it... plus using a cream that has a steroid in it, so often, I know has not helped matters, as that also weakens the immune system.

Along comes coconut oil. I was amazed from the first time I tried it. It felt soooo soothing and good to my chafed, itchy, sore skin!! I noticed right away a difference. I have been solidly getting better ever since I used it... after 3 days, what has taken me a couple years and lots of chemicals to just keep at bay is practically gone! I suspect in a couple more days I will be completely normal again... I am almost there now, and I have not seen normal in this area for two years, even with a dr's help. I actually feel better tonight, right now, than I have at all in the past two years.

I wanted to add my experience and tell people try it, give it a few days, you WILL see a difference, and it's actually good for your skin too!! Miraculously, I found mine in the vitamin section at Walmart, where I buy my tea tree oil. So I was able to start using it right away. Walmart, in our southern area anyway, does carry it, but not where you would expect, in the vitamin section, not the oil/baking goods section... and it's the extra virgin unrefined. It ran me $10 for a huge jar of it, well worth the price!! I am using it several times a day, whenever I feel an itch or a twinge, on goes the oil. And it feels a little better each time, and the past few nights I have actually been able to SLEEP. Those of you who have this, you know exactly what I mean. Sleep is for the lucky, is how you feel with this junk plaguing you.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on here so people like me can find it!! :) Forget the other stuff and use this first!! You won't be sorry :)
