Funny; just a couple of hours after I have answered your post, my old cat came in, lame in his right leg. He had been fighting,I know, as we have a new kitten, and he is trying to protect him from the other cats around. Heard the noise, saw the left overs!

He wouldnt let me take a close look, but I could see the leg was big, swollen. I took my Iodine bottle, carefully painted on his skin. Since last night he has had like 10 drops of Lugols 5 %, painted around the swollen area. That is a huge dosage for a 4-5 kilo`s cat. He get some in his water too, always, so this was extraordinary.
I would say he is 50 % better from yesterday. He couldnt use his leg at all last night, now he is a little lame, but can step on it, jump, walk. Usually these kinds of injuries are worse the day 2-3.

PS he had a little straight Lugols on his tongue, licking off some of it from his leg. He shook his head a little, thats all.
