I completed an 8-day Water Fast at the end of September/early October. Since then I Water Fast every week from Thursday evening until Saturday morning. In addition, I plan to do the 8-9 day Water Fast once every three months. My normal diet while not fasting consists of mainly fruits, nuts, salads, steamed and raw vegetables. I do not eat any red meat or pork and only have chicken & fish occasionally on average of once or twice per week. I drink 97% water most of the time even with meals.

My blood pressure does drop to an average around 113/66 during the longer fasts, however it climbs back up to around 145/85+ when I'm not fasting despite my strict diet. Overall I feel better but not super great and I still have a lot of muscle pain. I'm not on any prescription meds, but do take a lot of supplements.

My question and point to all this is...when do the benefits of having normal blood pressure and feeling better start kicking in after making the effort of regular fasting and eating healthier? I'm feeling a bit discouraged about my own results while I watch others eating and drinking anything they want.

Thanks.....! 8-)
