I have had problems with fibrocystic breasts and cystic Acne for 15 years now. I was placed on thyroid medication 4 years ago, and I initially felt awesome! But alas, after a month or so my fibrocystic breasts got far worse, and the Acne got worse as well. My doctor said to just give the medication time to "work." It never did, and I started researching what might be the cause. I came across Iodine and started reading everything that I could. I began using liquid Iodine ( automidine) and my fibroids initially got worse; although, the Acne started to fade away immediately. The problem was, my stomach all of the sudden felt like it was on fire and I flamed beyond control! The Iodine caused me excruciating pain in the abdominal region and intestines. I stuck with it though, and eventually my fibrocystic breasts went away, and the acne was forever gone. The pain in my stomach never completely left me, but it was mostly limited to the a.m. - when I first woke up. After about one year on only 600 micrograms of iodine, I was sick of the daily pain I was experiencing in my gut. I went back to thyroid medication and felt better than ever. It didn't last. The acne returned as well as the fibrocystic breasts. What to do? The thyroid medication makes me feel energized and my stomach never hurts, but my breasts become hard, painful knots and the acne is debilitating. I spent the last 4 years trying to take a combination of iodine and thyroid medication with mixed results. I had less acne but it was not totally gone. I had stomach problems but not as bad as being on just iodine, but I have felt jittery and tired most of the time. After 3 years on this regimen, everything began to fall apart again. Acne, terrible fibrocystic breasts, and I'm sick of it! I found out about Iodoral, and decided to try it. I used to be able to take 600 micrograms of iodine for resolution of my above symptoms, but now I all of the sudden need far more to get rid of the breast fibroids. Could this be because of the years I spent on thyroid medication? Anyhow, taking 1/4th of a tab of iodoral took the fibroids away after about 3 days, and no stomachache! Wow, could anything be greater? But, after about 1 or 2 weeks on 1/4 a tab of iodoral, my eyes began to dry out while sleeping. When I would get out of bed, they would start tearing up and floaters and stringy masses of mucus were coming out all day long as my eyes were "weeping." Also, my face began to breakout! What is up with that? Iodine has ALWAYS taken the acne away. I am not understanding my body right now. I am wondering if the years of thyroid medication have depleted me and/or left me toxic? If I stick this out, will my eyes correct themselves? Will the acne regress eventually? I'm stumped right now. I obviously need the iodine - it took the fibrocystic breasts away after 3 days, but what's up with my eyes and the acne? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
