Thank you so much for the information. I will be looking into the links you posted, hopefully I can find something local.

Looking at the FBI page listed above, the website has a list of potential physical, mental, and emotional effects of trauma. This is a real eye-opener for me. I guess I have learned living with things that have grown to feel like a normal part of life, when they actually aren't.
