It's all about the amount of iodine, there's nothing like the real thing, elemental iodine. That is why the Iodine docs use either iodoral pills or its liquid equivalent Lugols solution to achieve proven results. This provides a ratio of 1 part elemental Iodine to 2 parts potassium iodide. Don't get too trendy with kelp or Edgar Cayce hype, keep it simple and don't forget the Iodine co-factor nutrients.

There are many ways to skin a cat and I'm not saying Lugols is the only solution just the best, most cost effective and easiest to measure the dosage.

Trapper makes a true Lugols solution now but since I've grown fond of the extra KI I prefer his 2% SSKI but think Lugols still makes the best starting point.

For the most exact fool proof dosage Iodoral pills are best if you don't mind paying extra for the convenience.
