It's miserable to have these bad things happen at night. It happened enough that I would start getting apprehensive around 6 pm, expecting a bad night. I dreaded the night. I developed the habit of going to bed leaving the tv on, so I wouldn't feel so alone when these things happened to me. I didn't get much family support, so the tv comforted me, even if I wasn't paying attention to it. It felt like someone was there.

After a while, I developed a tremendous sleep deficit, I could hardly function. I was afraid to drive I was so tired. What you describe sounds like adrenal failure. It was explained to me that during the night you run out of cortisol because your gland is weak and not producing enough. The Isocort helps because it supplies the natural hormone along with some herbs, but at a dose very much lower than a doctor would precribe a synthetic hormone. You don't want a high does because it will supress your gland from working. And you don't want synthetics. It is a temporary fix to relieve symptoms, you need to address your overall health and have a lifestyle that supports your adrenal gland. Avoid stress as much as possible, and go to sleep when you are tired. If I have a period of stress, I occasionally take one tablet in the morning.

Good luck, I really feel for you, having been there.
