Hi - Just wanted to send in a one year update with nutritional balancing. One year ago my hair test with Analytical Research Labs confirmed I was in the exhaustion stage of stress. Today I no longer have adrenal fatigue or low thyroid. These were also confirmed by a recent visit to a clinic in Mexico.
All ratios have improved except the zinc/copper which has remained unchanged over the year. It appears as though I never had high copper. My zinc level has stayed constant between 18 and 20 for all 4 tests. The copper has tested at 1.2, 2.5. 1.2 and 1.0. I suspect this is because I have been eating a very rich zinc diet for the past 4 years.
The sodium/potassium is now 13/3. This was 2/1 when I started. So very good improvement. Still low but I am confident this will change now that the chronic infections have been treated.
I still eat a paleo diet. Now that it is winter I am back to eating lots of the 24 hr bone broth soup loaded with veg and ground beef. Lately with an increase of excercise I have had to add in a few baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, basmati rice and more fat. I was losing too much weight. The most recent test changed from a slow to a mixed oxidizer. I have followed the Wilson diet for most of the year but have added in raw salad the last few months. I am off fruit again and will wait for in season fruit. I did enjoy a daily serving of tropical fruit while in Mexico along with fresh sqeezed juice that I could buy for $1.60 per litre.
Hypoglycemia is completely gone. When I started a year ago my cal/mag ratio was 10.5. I was having terrible blood Sugar reactions. The last 2 ratios's have been 7.33 and 7.67 with the ideal being 6.67. I can now easily get by eating only twice per day and not having any low blood Sugar swings.
I have been able to excercise 1 - 1.5 hours per day for the past 6 weeks. My strength has returned and I am starting to put on some muscle. It really is amazing to be able to sustain this kind endurance after such a long time. In Mexico part of my treatment program was to implement Qigong for healing and detox. I find this really helps to boost energy and get my chi moving. I do this each morning with Tai Chi for 40 minutes.
I stuck to the Endomet supps quite faithfully for the first 11 months. I was instructed to stop all supps while receiving ozone and other treatments in Mexico for lyme disease and sibo. I am now on a maintenance program of 3 paramin, 2 endopan, digestive enzymes with each meal, kelp, 2 megapan, 1 chromium picolinate per day. I still faithfully crush all hard supps and throw away all gel caps and just swallow down the powder with a little water. I feel this is critical for me as I have never had good digestive fire. Even found whole supps in my stool at the beginning of NB.
At the 6 month mark I increased Cat's Claw and other anti parasitic herbs. For the first 6 months of NB I felt horrible with many detox reactions. I began feeling better once getting the parasitic load down. However I was unable to rid myself of the sibo and lyme disease on my own.
At the 11 month I improved another 25% in 3 weeks while treating the chronic infections in Mexico. I understand now that these have been my last major stressors which have greatly contributed to the AF. These infections put a constant drain on my body nutritionally and added pathogenic toxins that my body was constantly fighting against.
I will treat the sibo once per month with some meds as a maintenance. I am also waiting for a very strong probiotic to arrive. Now that the majority of the sibo has been cleaned out I will focus on populating with good flora. I have also added in a few herbs for immune support. I now really understand that good health begins in the gut.
I am excited to be alive again. My heart is joyful and I am at peace. My head is clear and there is no brain fog! This healing brings me to about 95% healed. My energy is sustained and even throughout the day.
My advice if your progress is slow is try and eliminate the stressors that are holding you back.
This has been a long and difficult battle for my health. It takes such perseverence and patience to heal a very sick body. I have learned a great deal and feel confident that my future lies somewhere helping others heal naturally. I still lean heavily on my higher power and just embrace each day as it comes.
Wishing you all abundant health,
B
