Yes, I like that thought. But as I understand it, there is another condition called hyperketosis, which is when, rarely, the body becomes so acidic while fasting that it begins to devour its own protein.

A good prevention for this is exercise, something that people who are actually chronically ill have a hard time with because, with Lyme anyway, their metabolism changes and they have difficulties burning calories the normal way.

There is another condition called chronic acidosis, and it is common with people who have chronic degenerative diseases. In this case the acid is a result of a long standing faulty metabolism caused by the pathogens, and the hyperacidity can lead to organ damage, commonly first to kidney damage.

After the urine fasting, I did do five days of full Water Fasting to see if there was improvement or even change in my urine. I was losing so much weight and I don't have that much to lose.

It took about two weeks for my urine to return to near normal -- it's still very acidic and a little foamy, though the test I have does not show for protein, just acid.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts. I do believe that when Armstrong did his book, there weren't as many manufactured pathogens around causing chronic fatigue etc. I do believe that UT is helpful but I'm not sure how to employ it fully as a fast, or if fasting is the best step for me now.
