I have nothing against Dr. Jeff, but I have seen how alternative practitioners use the research to support their claims, still the research comes from the medical field.

They favor what they sellect as a convenient according to their belief and question what they don't want to support.

Here is an excellent example, Candida Related Complex.
The alternative practitioners are aware of this syndrome thank to the MDs, specially Dr. Truss. Still, the alternative practitioners have altered and modified the treatments to correct this syndrome to a point where candida sufferers are totally disoriented and confused. Many of them are using invented unproved protocols to deal with this syndrome where the patients end worse than before.
I have found alternative websites owned by naturopaths offering solutions with a real lack of knowledge and understanding about this syndrome. They speak like authorities about this subject when they are spreading myths and wrong treatments. I haven't found only one yet that offer to those seeking for answer a real approach of how to treat this syndrome less a real explanation of what this syndrome is about.
Let see if the pioneers researching and treating this syndrome are alternative practitioners.
We owe them the knowledge and information regarding Candida Ralated Complex. They deserve admiration and respect.

There are many of them who supported and helped Dr. Truss during his research about this syndrome.
Dr. Truss left his knowledge in his books, still the alternative practitioners speak about fungal candida (?), claim to know what triggers candida albicans germination considering it the cause of this syndrome, a thing that is completely wrong. All this is a clear example of how lack of knowledge they are about it.

They don't speak about chronic antigenemia, immune tolerance, candida metabolites, and what really causes this syndrome.

The end result is people who never find a total solution of their health problems following these alternative methods.
