I use jojoba with good results. It's very dry where I live.
But from my understanding, as your whole body PH gets more alkaline, all the good bacteria on your skin also flourishes. They compete with any bad bacteria. So it doesn't matter what you put on your skin, with the exception of toxic creams, bad bacteria do flourish on them.
