More important reason to avoid tomatoes: cancer is strong Yin disease and tomatoes are also strong Yin.

Other strong Yin products: potatoes, zucchini, eggplants,
and unfortunately yogurt and kefir, so the latter are to be in very minor quantities to have overal Yin products
uptake no more than 25-30%. (Macrobiotics founders pointed to 100% yang diet in case of cancer).
