If you really live in Seattle, SeatleK, then here's a possible solution to the "winter blues" if you get them. It's the Philips GoLITE BLU.

I'm in the Seattle area - Tacoma to be exact, and have to deal with the winter crud like you do. The past few days are typical of what we have to put up with - dark, dreary, pouring rain and lights on by 4 pm, with 30 more days to go before it even begins to turn around. The bright sunshine we have today is the exception - by far.
I bought a GoLITE at COSTCO about four or five years ago and put it on my desktop by my computer for at least 15 minutes a day, generally longer and it really does help with my sleep patterns. With all the artificial light we get in our modern society this does provide a more natural blue light.
