Hi lalobear,
I tried with a practitioner in Uk last year after testing SIBO positive. She gave me these with some help but 2 weeks after stoping the protocol the problem came back.
- coconut oil 3-6 spoons per day
- raw garlic 3-4 cloves per day
- acidophilus (very clean and expensive one),
- bifido the same (dairy free)
- krill oil for inflammation 1per day
- Colon Cleanse 1 per week / 5 times

what i learned experimenting:
- diet alone don»t cure it; it helps but just that
- is best to know what bugs you have so to better target treatment and diet;
for example coconut oil is antifungal...but is questionable for protozoa like giardia which benefit from fats or egg yolks not ok for some sulphur eating bacteria; for some SIBO psyllium husk or slippery elm not ok the mucilage can be eaten by bugs
- that's why is good to know what you have
- very low carb diet was not beneficial for me - au contraire; 100g of carbs ok
- starting antibacterial when leaky gut still hurts not a good idea; i guess first try to reduce inflammation - before tryin extracts or „hard" medicines like oregano oil
- 3 times x 5 days ciproflaxicin did almost nothing; maybe needed more days? dont know - and flare up candida of course;
- if its chronic you might think of biofilms removal also; sometimes it helps
- not all the time bacteria are acidic living some live also in alkaline environment btw of the diet

for me these helped alleviate the symptoms: turmeric, ginger, mashed garlic (beware of dye-off), calendula tea, lemon juice tea.
still searching for a practitioner who can really help.

good luck
dave
