I usually do a mix of CS, Lobelia and clear lungs. They're in alcohol and I haven't noticed any problem with it other than the taste - but I'm not sure vinegar would be any better.

Still I'm sure Utopia sells it with the nebulizer in mind, so I'd also be interested in their reasoning.
