A little about me.
I'm 26 and in overall good shape. I've had bloodshot/red eyes since I can remember, atleast since freshman year of highschool. They don't really burn or itch or anything, but they are dry sometimes.
They get aggrevated quite easily with low humidity, such as places such as retail stores and buildings. Sometimes I notice when they are red, such as a building, and then get into damp/cool air they are not AS red and seem to improve slightly. Yawning will make them quite red. I wake up and they are red all the time as well. My girlfriend also notices a slight yellow tint to them, which to me indicates liver. I did a master cleanse several years back and seen a bit of improvement. I was on redness reliever drops for years, so my eyes were very bloodshot in the morning, but on the cleanse generally one drop lasted most of the day, unlike 4-6 like I was using. I don't really use eyedrops much anymore because I know they are not good, but will use them occasionally.
I did not see any improvement with herbal eyebright by dr. christopher or any other natural remedies. I need to flush my liver some more and I want to drastically improve my diet.
Oh, and the part of the eye (both eyes) above my eyelid are clear as day, but the rest of the eye (left, bottom, and right) are bloodshot and tinted red. This is interesting to me and can't figure it out just yet. My doctors dont know either.
I'm thinking it is something I am eating, but would love some remedies for temporary or even permanent relief.
I've read on Dr. Stoll's website that congested capillaries are generally the problem, also allergy, so thats why I'm looking into a whole foods diet (as best as I can).
