So thankful for this site! Here's my issue: suspecting that I might have parasites that were causing stomach troubles, weariness, itching, etc., I purchased a liquid herbal supplement containing fresh green Black-Walnut s, cloves, and artimisa absinthium (wormwood). I took it for 9 days, working my way up from 1 dropper/day to 2 droppers-full, 2x/day. Apart from some vague tummy aches, I was doing great, even feeling on top of the world on the night of day 9. (You're supposed to take the stuff for 14 days, then take a 5 day rest, then go for another 14 days). But lo and behold, in the wee hours of day 10, I awoke with my head spinning, my tummy nauseous. Went to the doc that day, showed her the herbal mix, she advised laying off of it, which I gratefully did. She took some stool samples for parasites, wrote me a presciption for Adavert (which i haven't filled, as my symptoms are fading a tad), checked my ears for infection (none found), and diagnosed me with benign positional vertigo. That was Thursday. This morning is Sunday. I'm still feeling cloudy, a little woozy, but no head spinning. Still, I wonder: could the Wormwood have caused the vertigo? How long will it last? I know that Wormwood is toxic and I read that if a person is super-sensitive, the Wormwood can damage one's central nervous system. If this is me, can/will my centra nervous system be healed? What's the best way to heal it? And, finally, I wonder if the vertigo might be a reaction to parasite die-off? Any suggestions thankfully welcomed. Thank you!
