I am almost two years post...they told me the same thing, peri-menopausal. In retrospect, not at all. My hormones were all screwed up from Mirena. I felt horrible for about the first nine months post removal and then gradually started to feel better. I had most of the same symptoms that you have. The natural doctor along with acupuncture was the most help for me. I take whole food vitamins and eat as clean as possible which also has helped. I still have bad days but they pass much more quickly. Personally, I would not touch any synthetic hormones.
