my lips seems to be a bit cured when I leave them aloe, and they are at their worst on application of petrolatum. I had peeling lips problem when i was sick, but they never turned white upon contact with water. But the day of first application of petrolatum by problems began. So i doubt whether this is allergy to petrolatum or the petrolatum has encouraged some kind of infection locally or petrolatum induced minor immune responce by the body hope god helps..........................................................................
