Death in the fast is rare, and in most cases would have occurred anyway whether eating or fasting.

We also do not know the full circumstances of this case, such as how the fast was conducted, that led to this death, unless you can supply us with more details.

In addition, millions more people have died while eating, than they ever have whilst fasting.
