Two possibilities:

a. Salt water is a natural Antibiotic so you could have killed off vital bowel flora try some kefir

b. Salt is antagonistic to potassium, potassium and magnesium dilate cells including the colon this is why some laxative products contain magnesium, prunes contain lots of potassium. Increase potassium and magnesium rich foods.
