People seem to have missed research on the benefits of coffee. Studies have shown that people who drink coffee regularly have 60% smaller chance of getting colon cancer and a significantly reduced risk of liver cancer (can't remember the percentage) because it stimulates bile flow. Coffee has also got very high amounts of antioxidants which only aids in detoxing the system. SO THERE! I am not taking the time to find the link to the studies but doctor oz had a show where he discussed this. So adding coffee to a fast may simply help detoxing the body during a liquid fast.
